”God, Dean..” Sam could almost feel wetness in his eyes right now. He’d left Dean alone when he was clearly falling apart. He felt like the worst brother ever at that moment.
“Me and Gabriel had a fight. I meant to tell you but I was so angry. But this doesn’t matter now because god, Dean.” Now he could clearly feel the tear tracks down his face.
“Just, what happened?”
“It does matter…i’m sorry about that. Are you guys still you know- together or?” Dean asked, trying to make sense of the situation, all of a sudden everyone was fighitng with, or losing someone and Sam was the last person who deserved it.
“Stop crying, you stupid bitch,” Dean choked out between his own tears, a smile gliding onto his face. He was so happy to see Sam, but so pissed that he left, and at the mention of Cas he couldn’t hold his tears back. Though he didn’t know which thing they were from.
He didn’t want to remember, he didn’t want to think about it, but he had to tell Sam- he of all people deserved to know what made his brother a complete wreck.”Come on inside,” Dean said, “I’ll tell you, but it’s kinda cold out here.” He wiggled his bare feet and stepped inside. He’d avoid the topic as long as he could- but eventually, he knew Sammy would drag it out of him.
Bela looked over at the door as Dean walked over. She smiled as she heard who it was. She held Beth to her, letting the brothers have their moment, before moving out to meet them.
She smiled brightly as Sam. “Sam! It’s so good to see you…” She looked down at Bethany before looking back up at Sam. “I think there’s someone you should meet…”
